This was a gripping, real ride of a book and I enjoyed every second of it. Deliverance is the first book in The Maverick Defence Series, following the story of Joy and Dawson and what a gripping, page turner of a real emotive ride. And I enjoyed every second of it. The plot flowed, was well written and I enjoyed the style of writing. Told through dual narrative, which I absolute love. The main characters and secondary characters had personality, depth and I could easily connect to them. Joy in particular, the author brought her pain alive throughout the pages and at times my heart broke for her. Dawson again his mindset and reasoning was relatable and I routed from him from the start to win Joy back and I kinda enjoyed his alpha ways...as for Donnie I disliked him with a passion. This would have been a five star read but and it's only a little but, I couldn't help feeling the ending fell a little flat, I wanted more, that's my only real criticism and in my opinion it not a really a criticism it shows talent in the authors for making me want me.
Would highly recommend and I'll look forward to reading more from the Maverick Defence Series
