Stephanie's Review:
Well, I eagerly dove into book 2 of this series. Book 1 ended in a happy place, but the title of this book scared me off a bit, I will admit. I was so happy to see Luke realize that Ash was always there, right under his nose. She has loved him since she was a little girl, but, up until now, he's only ever seen her as his sister's best friend.
Well, Luke is sure he and Ashleigh will work out, Ash, however, has her doubts. While I understand that, since his break-up with Emma was recent, I was frustrated that's she's been in love with him for so long and now is pushing him away. Throw her best friend Haven's opinion into the mix and it's a recipe for disaster in Ashleigh's mind.
"I think we have a really good thing going here. We all love each other. We're family and now you guys get pissed together and put all of that in jeopardy." She gave up stirring the pan and turned toward us. "Luke, you and Emma finished about five seconds ago and that was a serious, long-term thing. You can't just get over it in twenty-four hours," she said, pointing at Luke. "And you, you've loved this guy for forever, and I don't want him to break your heart."
I loved Luke's attitude. Even though he was frustrated that Ash wasn't sure and wanted them to have some space, he has a positive attitude and moves on with his life, doing things for himself.
This is another great read of this authors. She doesn't disappoint. I was very happy to have book 3 in my possession when I finished this to see where Luke and Ash's relationship was heading.
I received this copy in exchange for my honest review.

AUTHOR BIO:
USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read.
Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series’ The Empire State Series and What the Lightning Sees. The novels and together the series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.
Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
