4 STARS

A suspense filled read that hooked me almost immediately.

Corporate Citizen is book 5 in Gabriel Valjan's Roma Series and a first for me for both installment and author. Although it can be read as a standalone I recommend, though not necessary that you read the other books in the series as although I really enjoyed the book I felt I lacked development with the character's and situations mentioned from previous installments, and would have added an even better reading experience.

The plot was intrinsically woven with suspense, humor, great characters that had depth and personality and flowed, although you will need to be paying attention as the plot twists are both subtle and impacting so if you haven't been paying attention you'll be wondering what's happened. My only irk which although is may be seen as a negative is not intended to sound like one. I was a little let down with the ending. The resolution and answers I had been hoping would be answered weren't, obviously I don't want to go into detail but I have a suspicion this is what may happen with all the previous installments as each book leads you into the next installment with perhaps lose ends being tied up when the series concludes. Either way I'll look forward to reading both future and previous installments.

Overall I really enjoyed the story and will definitely look forward reading more. I would recommend to fans of thrillers/suspense reads.
