Blue’s life is in shambles.
He has to fight off his MC brotherhood on a drug problem threatening his town, balance his time as a father while dealing with a vicious custody battle with his ex, and somehow manage the huge load of responsibilities of his job. All the while, he is fighting his attraction to the quiet shopkeeper who lives just across the street from him. The last thing he wants is to take her down with him.
Psalm’s life is uneventful.
Finally healed after the heartache of losing her husband, kind-souled Psalm throws herself into her store and rescuing dogs. Her crush on Blue can be traced back to high school so many years ago, and even after being widowed, she still carries a torch for him. From the sidelines, she aches for Blue and his children. With her caring nature, she reaches out to him, over and over again, even when he pushes her away. Is Psalm’s heart strong enough to take on this broken man and heal him?

Blue, town Deputy, son of the MC club president, father of two wonderful kids, ex-husband of alcoholic drug using woman who uses their children to torment him and take him for all she can. He wants to be everything to everyone never admitting even his broad shoulders can't take it all. The woman who quietly offers to help carry the load is the one he wants but refuses to share the load with her.
Psalm, widow, businesswoman, friend, rescue dog foster mom, has crushed on Blue since high school. Running into him around town makes her tremble. She loves his kids and feels for them and Blue dealing with the vicious woman in their lives. When he shows some interest he soon rejects her.
How long can she deal with his yo-yo actions? Just as things look possible for them an emergency pushes everything else aside. Where will they be when this is resolved--if it's resolved? Is there a chance for them?
As with the other books in the series the battles the character fights bring the readers emotions to the surface. Tears, steam, joy, disappointment. I laughed and cried. It was a book that kept me reading every spare moment. The doggy characters are some of my favorite. This book is a complete story alone, however, the series is excellent and well worth the read. Whether you read one or all you won't be sorry.

I've had stories in my head since I was a child. All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured my interest. I'm a voracious reader, and have spent many hours in my life devouring books, therefore it's only fitting I should write a few myself!
I've spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn't mean I'm pigeon-holed into one mold. I've been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else I feel like exploring. As one of my students said to me once, "Life's too short to ignore the opportunities." I have no intention of ever stopping so welcome to my story world. I hope you enjoy it!
