Wren was broken when Maniac had become her protector/babysitter. She didn't want to live after what she'd gone through with the enemy MC. She'd been rescued from them. From herself. Didn't mean she had to live.
If he had anything to say about it she'd live. She'd be happy. He'd make sure of it. Anything worth having took work and patience. Wren was worth it.
The relationship between them was a rough one. She'd been abused and betrayed by a man she thought she could love. A man in an MC. Trusting another alpha biker wasn't going to be easy. The club is filled with characters the series fans have come to know and love. The ole ladies in the club are a riot. They have their own parties the guys hate to be near.
All fun and games end when it is payback time. You don't hurt a woman. Any woman. If you hurt one of their women it won't end well. It will end.
A page-turner written with an emotion stretcher fans will feel from word one to THE END.

Wren found herself in a bad situation, played by who she thought was her boyfriend. Because she is a friend of Cora’s, and Cora was family to the Fallen Lords MC, the guys help her out. Wren is in a bad way and doesn’t want to go on. Maniac (short for pyromaniac) finds and saves her.
I’m probably not someone who should be reviewing romance books at this point in my life, I find it all bull. However, I will push past my feelings and say this was an interesting story. Wren is broken, and I can relate. Maniac is alpha bad boy, which I love, together they make a good pair. This book ends on one hell of a cliffhanger and that frustrates me, uggg!! Despite that, I give this book 4 stars.
Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and the place they now call home.
