Tink didn't move fast enough when he was in high school and his best friend got the girl. Now, when they meet again, they are both broken from horrific experiences.
Tink is assigned to babysit the new roomy of one of the MC's money-making club's bartenders. What a surprise to find out who she is and what he has become. Can they help each other recover? Is it possible to go back or continue on and find out what could have been?
I was emotionally involved with both characters. I love the author's work and even though I didn't read the rest of the series I enjoyed this book from page one to the end. The epilogue -- I couldn't stop laughing! A perfect end to a tension-filled story.
