When I woke up, it
was like every part of me flashed into ‘on’ mode.
I’d been shot
before, had been put in comas before too, so I knew what it felt like to come
awake after that.
This time, however,
it was different.
Why?
My brain, some part
of it, was aware that I’d been shot while being a coward as I turned tail and
ran home, rather than go to my woman who’d been kidnapped by a whacked serial
killer.
Shame hit me, and it
was followed by the thought that, for some reason, I was waking up again.
Was it weird to know
that you’d almost died?
I knew I had.
When I’d felt the
bullet’s trajectory, as it tore into my body like a stray tennis ball on a
court, I’d known that death was likely.
Sure, I’d been
pissed about it, but you went into this life knowing that it would probably end
early.
What I couldn’t
forget, though, was the last thought that had brushed my consciousness before
I’d snuffed it.
Unto death, I’d
vowed to protect Stone from myself, and I’d fulfilled that vow.
I’d died.
That meant I could
have her now, didn’t it?

A story readers have been waiting for. The big question--what is keeping them apart when they so obviously love each other. Be aware it is going to take a while to find out.
Steel has wanted her since she was a teen but she was a few years younger and he was going to wait. It didn't' matter how long, she was his. Then he found out why he could never have her. At least in his mind. The entire MC knows they are meant to be together.
Meanwhile back at the club... an evil man has been found and getting his, a war is brewing, club members are getting attacked and so much more. Yes, this one is even more packed than the previous books and they were full of action.
So many characters, good guys, bad/evil guys, club members the reader has grown to love, and some I had a hard time dealing with. Yet, all in all, it was a wonderful book filled to the tippy top with action, steam, and amazing characters.
Be aware the end will demand you to read the next one. I'm counting the days.

Steel and Stone should be together. Everyone in the club knows it. Something is keeping Steel from claiming her.
The story is filled with the relationship and club actions. It is a busy, dangerous time for the club and its members and families. The reader has met many of the characters in the previous books of the series (if you haven't read them I recommend you do) The men are hot and strong as are most of the woman--or at least getting stronger.
It will keep your attention from page one to the THE END. Great characters, lots of club action, and plenty of steam. Not to be missed.
