I am speechless, utterly speechless. This book was phenomenal, and probably one of the best of this genre I have read in a long time. Kayla West, Amazon Reviewer
Each letter is more beautiful and insightful as the next and will shatter you in a million beautiful different ways. Books Are Love
After I read this amazing story it made me realize, how lucky we are to find our true love, our best friend and the person we can't breathe without. A loving memory stays with you forever. Books And Beyond Fifty Shades
The beauty of this kind of books is that we as readers—at least me—find a common denominator with the plot and bring their own wishes to hold those last letters or being able to have that brief, yet amazing love affair with the love of your life before they left. Author Claudia Burgoa

Larkin's Letters - Vickie's Review - 5 Stars
What a beautifully written, deep and emotionally charged love story that focuses on the emotional connection in love, the power of friendship and ultimately the beauty of life.
I was initially warned prior to starting Larkin and Ryan’s journey that I would need and I quote “hard liquor, tissues and plenty of them and chocolate to get me through” and they weren’t wrong although I settled for a cup of tea (it’s a Brit thing) instead of something strong…and as if the premise of the story wasn’t enough to send me over the edge I was even more surprised to find out that this is the authors debut novel as the writing was exceptional.
As we already know from the beginning of the book Larkin after a long and treacherous battle with cancer sadly loses her life, never giving up hope and fighting until the very end with Ryan supporting her every step of the way. We’re initially introduced to Ryan as he is struggling to come to terms with Larkin’s death and is struggling with the all-consuming grief he feels. Unbeknown to him Larkin wrote him letters during her two year battle with Leukaemia in the hopes that when or if she should lose her battle they will help him move on from his grief and continue to go on and live his life.
“Larkin, all I ask is that you give me today so I can prove to you that I am your tomorrow.”
I have to say I really enjoyed this story well that’s when I could see the words as not gonna lie the majority of the time I had a blurred vision from the tears. It’s was a heart-breaking love story told in dual POV’s, Larkin’s is set in the past and Ryan’s is set in the present which made their journey all the more raw it really does pull at your heartstrings especially the ending but for me personally the ending was my favourite part…I had happy tears.
Would highly recommend and I am eager to start Ryan’s letters.

Larkin's Letters - Stephanie's Review - 5 Stars
I was shocked to find out that this book is Jax Jillian's debut novel. This was such a wonderfully written book and I loved every minute of it.
We know from the outset of this book that Larkin has passed away. The insidious cancer claimed her life even though she fought long and hard with Ryan at her side. We meet Ryan suffering through his grief when he finally decides that maybe it's time he reads the letters Larkin wrote to him during her two year struggle with cancer. The letters he did not know about, until her death; letters she wrote to help him with his grief.
The story is told from Ryan's present POV and the letters take us back to their past when they were best friends and married to other people. They always loved each other, just never seemed to figure it out until Larkin is diagnosed with leukemia.
The way I am feeling right now, the way I am missing you, I now know that I love you, Ryan, and I think I always have. Love isn't a big enough word to describe this paralyzing feeling that I have for you. And right now, I don't understand it. Maybe one day I will. Maybe one day I will be able to let you into my soul so that maybe you can feel how much I love you.
This is a heartbreaking love story. I knew what the outcome was, yet I cried buckets for Ryan. But despite how sad this story was, I found the ending very uplifting. I would love to see a sequel from Ms. Jillian. Anything she writes from here on out, I will read! I highly recommend this book.

Ryan's Letters - Stephanie's Review - 4 Stars
This is the sequel to Larkin's Letters, a book that broke my heart. In this follow-up, we see where Ryan is at in his life and see him struggling to come to terms with Larkin's death months later. He decides to start writing to Larkin, explaining what he's feeling and how much he loves and misses her. He subsequently burns the letters and Larkin begins to appear after each burned letter. He looks forward to the visits with her.
"Larkin, no, please don't leave." "Close your eyes, beautiful boy. I promise you I won't leave you alone. I'll be here when you need me."
In the meantime, he meets his new next door neighbor, Lux. She is suffering from the death of a loved one as well. While Ryan likes Lux and finds her attractive, he feel guilty, like he is betraying Larkin. So their spending time together really has its ups and downs. And on more than one occasion, I felt very bad for her, but understood why Ryan acted the way he did.
Jillian writes a beautiful, well-written, very moving story. There were many times I felt Ryan's heartache and lonliness. And Larkin's love for Ryan helped to give him some direction with his life.
I highly encourage you to read this series. You will not be disappointed.
"My beautiful boy. Time heals what reason cannot. And it's time."

This a heart squeezing story of love and loss. Larkin and Ryan are childhood friends who fall into romantic love actor Larkin becomes very ill. Throughout the limited time they have together Larkin has been writing letters to remind Ryan how much he will always mean to her and guidance for how she would like Ryan to continue to live once she is gone. Ryan finds the letters at times when he struggles most after losing the love of his life. Larkin' s spirit appears to Ryan to keep him fighting to live without her. This lady knows how to write. The characters grab you into their love story making you feel all the anguish, love and loss right there with them. You will need Kleenex to read this tale. It is written with great heart and understanding of a great loss. I loved it.
Ryan's Letters - Helen's Review - 5 Stars
5 stars for this one.
This book is Ryan's response to the loss of the love of his life, Larkin. After realising the support, guidance and strength that Larkin' s letters have continued to give after Larkin' s death, Ryan writes his own thoughts, feelings and struggles in his very personal letters to Larkin. Larkin' s spirit continues to appear to Ryan when he is at his lowest ebb giving him the strength to live without her. Ryan finds he has a new neighbour, a lady doctor called Lux. Ryan struggles with his newfound attraction to Lux. Lux has some issues of her own. Together with Larkin' s spirit pushing and prodding along the way, Ryan tries to continue living and loving inn the way that Larkin taught him was possible.
This is a very poignant story of life, loss and love. Written with great feeling and emotion. A tear jerker for sure but so, so good. I loved both books in this series and would thoroughly recommend.Well worth the tears you will shed.
