The sizzling-hot Caldwell Brothers series—perfect for readers of J. S. Scott and Emma Chase—hits the Vegas strip as a bad-boy gambler from Detroit Rock City shows a single mom what it means to play for keeps.
For Morrison Caldwell, life is a game of chance. A high roller with a legendary poker face, he’s the wild card of the family, always chasing the next thrill and never staying put for long. The one place that always lures him back is Las Vegas, with its hot tables and even hotter women. He’s perfectly content to live his life as a series of one-night stands. But when a parking lot confrontation with a cocktail waitress takes a naughty turn, she leaves Morrison aching for another round.
After a long losing streak in Sin City, Hailey Poe is ready to get lucky. A steamy tryst with a cocky, mysterious stranger is the kind of no-strings encounter she’s been craving . . . until Morrison Caldwell asks for more than she’s willing to offer. But when Hailey’s controlling, soon-to-be ex-husband tries to take her daughter away, she can’t afford to turn down a helping hand. In this winner-takes-all game, Morrison is gambling with Hailey’s life—and her heart.

Morrison – MJ Fields
Hailey “Hard Knocks” Poe had a rough childhood. She was born to a teenage prostitute who had run away from home and landed in Las Vegas, Sin City, aptly named. But Hailey has plans, she’s not going to follow in her mother’s footsteps. She wants more out of life and she plans on getting it even if she has to hustle.
Morrison Caldwell is the middle Caldwell brother. His nickname is Slick, but he’s also known as Aces. He wasn’t happy being poor so he worked hard and became good at gambling, very good! He enjoys the materialistic things in life, flashy cars, nice apartments and high-end furniture and he owns it all. He swore never to be in debt to anyone and he has seen to it to keep that promise.
“I have tasted my share of week – old fish in my day, if you know what I mean.“
Gotta say, I find Morrison to be a funny man! This book is not all that it seems to be. I know that is cryptic, but that’s all I’m gonna say. Morrison is aptly nicknamed, Slick, because man is he ever. He’s got the lines, the look and the money to back it all up. Much like his older brother Hendrix, he isn’t looking for a long-term relationship. He’s not looking for more than one night. From his father he learned to take a beating and never blink an eye. He learned to hide his tells, which is why he is so good at gambling. Unlike his father, he would never hurt a woman. Again, I will say I’m a huge fan of MJ Fields so I knew I would enjoy this book. It has its interesting moments and I liked the way it ended. The ending left a hint of more to come, and that more is going to be good!!! I give this book 5 stars with 4 hands down the pants and impatiently await Jagger.

Hendrix – MJ Fields
When you take one of my favorite authors (MJ Fields), and the names of some of my favorite rock stars (Hendrix, Morrison and Jagger), you know I’m all over whatever it is that has been created! Ms. Fields partnered with author Chelsea Camaron, whom I’ve never read before, to create a series about the Caldwell Brothers, three boys raised by a very strong woman and a very abusive man. Luckily for them, their mother’s influence out weighed their father’s. They are the good in a world of bad.
“My panties make me feel stronger”
Olivia Hemmingway had an unconventional childhood. She was conceived during a one-night stand while her father was on a business trip. When she was old enough to travel the country, she would spend time with him during holidays and summer vacations. Olivia is shy, dedicated, determined and a tad bit crazy or at least that’s what Hendrix Caldwell thinks.
“By golly, I have to have him.”
Hendrix Caldwell is the oldest of the three Caldwell boys. He is strong, handsome, covered in tattoos and not looking for a relationship. He saw what relationships were like growing up. He saw his mother being beaten and berated by an alcoholic father and he wants no parts of it. He is however, the good in a world of bad. I loved this book, but I’m not surprised. I was happy to be reading MJ Fields again and Chelsea Camaron has gained a new fan. I give this book 5 stars with 4 hands down the pants and cannot wait to read Morrison. (He’s my favorite rocker).
