Release Date: November 2, 2020

Eric
I live my life by a certain standard. There are right and wrong ways to do things, and I always make sure that I'm on the right side. My brothers call me a wet blanket. They say I'm buttoned-up, boring, and that I don't know how to let loose. There's a reason I'm that way, and she just walked through my door. With one wild night, I've thrown all my moral guidelines out the window. Now I'm stuck with her and there's no possible way this could work between us. We're complete opposites in every way, but damn she's sexy. Not that it matters. There will never be more between us. One of us will end up killing the other first.

Kat
After a long shift in the cancer ward at the children's hospital, I just want to let loose. My friend set me up on a date, and I gladly took it to let off some steam. I've got a fun outfit and I'm ready to let loose. But my one night of fun was spoiled the minute he walked through that door. I was just looking for a good time, and I got him instead. He's good-looking, but that's about all that he has going for him. He's not at all my type, and now he seems to think that I'm some loose whore. It was one night! But I'm stuck with him, so I have to find a way to make this work. If I don't figure out a way to make the man loosen up, I'll go insane.

5 STARS

Wow, this was just a brilliant book, even though all my emotions were all over the place with this book. This is the first book of the series, and I couldn't wait to meet all the Cortel Brothers after meeting Derek. I couldn't put the book down. I loved Eric and Katherine together, they may have been thrown together because of circumstances. But they started to have feelings for each other. They both bring crazy to the relationship. Katherine brings the crazy ideas to the relationship, and Eric brings the prime and proper. I can't wait for more.

Eric & Kat

Two miss matches for sure. He's straight-laced, she's a bit wild and carefree. Who would have matched them for a blind date? The answer will surprise you.

Still, a date, some drinks, some more drinks, and a wild night they won't forget--or will they?

I loved both of them. It was an emotional read for me. I did have some issues with her blaming him for all problems and spouting off at him. He certainly did insert his foot up to his knee on many occasions so he did deserve some of it.

The brothers and friends were absolutely hysterical as well as loyal and offer great advice when it wasn't out of this world. Still, they were a solid family unit and pulled Kat in without reservation. You can't help but love those brothers.

The book is filled with steam, ups, and downs making it impossible for the reader to be sure how it would come out. I'll just hint that it is a love story after all.

Reviewed for Words Turn Me On

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on the blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
