This book certainly contains it's fair share of suffering and angst. Lil and Justice find a magnetic attraction to each other when they are thrown together. Lil has issues from not fully grieving the loss of a relative. Justice has been so badly abused as a child that he has no real idea of what a loving, caring relationship is. They struggle to find a way to be together under the watchful eyes of the animals in the sanctuary. Lil knows the calming effect spending time with the animals can give you, she just has to hope that Justice will find that peace within himself helped by Lil, the, animals and her Dad, Tom, who runs the animal sanctuary. This story is about surviving dreadful loss, awful abuse, learning to trust and finding love. i really enjoyed this book. it is well written and fast paced. The characters are engaging and like able, even bad boy Justice. I really liked the scenes where there was interaction with the animals. I received an ARC copy of this book in return for an honest review. Would recommend.
