Unforgettable! The story. The characters. The good guys. The evil guys. All of it makes this a one-sitting read no matter how long it takes.
She has spent most of her life sightless. That doesn't make her helpless. Her family seems to put her in the corner and ignore her until her reason for being is revealed. She tries to refuse, depending on the one person who should be there for her. Is he?
She is one of the women captured for sale when she meets a King's daughter who guarantees they will be rescued.
Austin calms her fears and reassures her she is safe they will take care of her. His first look makes that a guarantee. While he is trying to take it slow with her--claiming her might not wait.
There is lots of club action, brothers, ole ladies, kids, and friends. The characters are strong, caring, dangerous. The book is filled with action never a minute of peace--well, maybe a few minutes here and there. I loved watching Lalani grown into her own strength and the love growing between them. There is one more unforgettable character that is a hero and friend. He has four legs and a generous heart.
I loved Austin and Lelani together, it was instant connection between them when Austin saved her. Lelani doesn't let her blindness bring her down. I loved how they bring each other peace and family.
I can't wait for more.
